Forever a Girl Scout

For Donna Pietsch, being connected to the organization that gave her so much, is a forever relationship. Her experience with Girl Scouts as a girl was so positive that she wanted to share this with other girls. After graduating from college, Donna decided to lead a Girl Scout troop with her sister. Creating opportunities for girls to grow their leadership skills and share their talents is what makes Donna so passionate about Girl Scouts.

Leading a multi-age troop of 4th-9th graders in the Lino Lakes, MN area, Donna is especially committed to retaining older girls by providing them with unique opportunities. The annual Winter Encampment at Camp Northwoods provides unique individual activities during the day and large group activities hosted by the girls in the evening. Her joy is seeing Girl Scouts have new experiences and build relationships that can turn into lifetime friendships.

Donna became a member of Daisy’s Circle because making a monthly gift to Girl Scouting ensures our girls will receive a consistent, high quality Girl Scout experience as a member of River Valleys. “Girl Scouts really does build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. I experience this feeling every time my Girl Scout troop meets, every time I participate in River Valleys program with girls from other service areas within our council and every time I see one of our Girl Scout alumnae making a difference in our community.”
